Armand Shaznel Norhisham is a passionate Senior Architectural Associate from Johor Bahru, Malaysia, who sees architecture not merely as a profession but as a way of life. His journey began with a deep fascination for design and structure, eventually leading him to earn both a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and a Master of Architecture from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.

Early in his career, Armand took on the role of Assistant Architect at Kaz Akitek Sdn Bhd, where he contributed to project management, design development, drawing production, and liaising with authorities. These formative years gave him crucial hands-on experience and prepared him for larger responsibilities.

Armand continued his professional growth at Marzuki Mahadi Architect as a Graduate Architect. There, he managed projects through every phase — from initial concept development to construction and final certifications (CCC). His work involved close dealings with local authorities and a thorough understanding of project delivery.

In 2021, Armand joined Swan & Maclaren (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, a distinguished firm celebrated for its architectural excellence across Asia. Serving for over three and a half years, he currently leads the Design Implementation Team 1. His responsibilities include ensuring that design concepts meet local authority requirements, collaborating closely with the Singapore headquarters, managing manpower and project progress, and drafting comprehensive annual reports. During his time at Swan & Maclaren, he has contributed to significant projects, including Danga Heights, South Pear Suites and a proposal project for Skyline Sentosa

Technically adept, Armand is skilled in tools such as Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, Lumion, and Microsoft Office, while continually expanding his expertise in newer technologies like D5 Rendering. He is fluent in both English and Bahasa Melayu and is open to opportunities that allow him to broaden his impact in the field.

Armand’s architectural journey reflects his dedication to learning, creating, and contributing meaningfully to the built environment. With every project, he strives to embody his belief that architecture truly is life itself.
